Blogs, podcasting, wikis and Social Networks Are web tools available for teachers all around the world.

Here there are some definitions about each one:



W I K I

It is a web tool that lets teachers (and students in this case) create new contents on line so all members of the course can edit them and comment obut it. Also, it gives the opportunity to create several pages with different kind of topics. One of the goals of this web tool is to high students' motivation and make them take an active role in the learning process.

P O D C A S T I N G S

They are usually sound files in which the administrator (teacher in this case) intruduces by him/herself so everybody knows who he/she is and what he/she does. Besides, we can change the settings in a way that it becomes more attractive for people who visit our blog.

B L O G S

They are web tools in which we can publish any article, content, multimedia files, slides, pictures, etc, that we can use to show our own research or others'. One of the main important characteristic of this application is that we can comment on our blogs and visitors too, so we can share a lot of information in one only place.

S O C I A L N E T W O R K I N G S

They are networks (as its name indicates) in which just by joining it (through an email and a password) we can meet a lot of people all around the world, we can create personal o educational groups, so every person with the same intest can join them and comment about the publications previously published. The main advantage of this aplication is that we can find people we know and we have a lot of time wothout seeing.
